Born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, the distinguished musical career of Althea Brown began at an early age of 10 while listening to the records that was played by her father who was a prominent musical connoisseur.  Her childhood was influenced by different genres of music being played in the home and it was during this time she realized her love and passion for music.

In 1984 the family migrated to Florida and that was when the musical journey continued. She would follow her brother Charlie whenever he played music at any family functions, parties, etc. It was not long after that she started spinning records on her own and became good at it.  In 1994, she was approached by Marcia J. Ball to become her manager and in the early part of 2003, she was involved with the launching of Marcia’s new single called “Drive Me Crazy,” arranged by Dr. Paul and produced by Rupert Graham (Silver Dove Records) and Althea Brown (Popsgirl Production). In the latter part of 2003, she continued to assist in the launching of Marcia’s first album “Right on Time” produced by John Samuels of Tabbath Production. In 2005, Althea found her true calling when she produced Marcia’s second album “Choices and Changes”. Majority of the songs featured on this album are written by her and these songs convey to people who have loved, and for those that have lost loved ones. Althea has worked with some of the best singers in the reggae industry such as Hopeton Lindo, Sammy Dread, Frankie Paul, Fiona Robinson-Sterling, Marcia J. Ball, Empress Uneek, Kulcha Cally, King Banton, Endel I, Sista Time and many, many more. Althea Brown also known as Lady Tia, strives to perform good music which will be enjoyed by a broad range of audiences all over the world. With the release of her new single “Words” produced by Richard Grant of Poorman Red Hill Production and Dwayne Hoillett of Inbound Production, she is well on her way to greatness

 . With this being her first official recording, she was able to maintain the #1 spot for two consecutive weeks on the Clinton Lindsay’s influential Foundation Network Chart in South Florida.  Since the launching of her career in February 2018, Lady Tia has ended the year with a bang. She has made appearances on 7 events including the VP Live Showcase in Miramar, FL and the Space Coast Harley Davidson show in Palm Bay, FL.  To sum it all up, two of Lady Tia’s singles featured on The Foundation Network (NY) Top 100 Songs for 2018 and “Words” held the #23 slot and “Come Back Home” held the #84 slot and was placed at the #6 Top Female singer for 2018. Her singles featured on The South Florida Top 100 Songs of 2018 and “Words” held the #13 slot and “Come Back Home” held the #92 slot and listed as the #3 Top Female singer for 2018, #7 in the Top Ten Artist category.   Lady Tia has several smashing singles that are produced by Samuel Dyett of One Harmony Music and since been released in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and 2021. Her singles consist of songs like, Still Be Here, Come Back Home, Jah Is My Key, My Time, It’s Impossible which was composed by the late legendary Keith “Bob Andy” Anderson. She has completed her first EP also named after her hit single called My Time that hit all digital outlets in April 2020. Her single “Bring It On” produced by Irie Pen Productions which released on May 31, 2020, still blazing the airwaves. She ended 2020 with a bang and placed as the #7 Top Female singer for 2020 on The South Florida Reggae Chart. Lady Tia has started 2021 blazing, by doing interviews and featured on radio stations in UK, Jamaica, Africa, Netherlands, and all over the globe. 

Lady Tia is rapidly trending on the reggae musical scene. She has launched her single “Riding for A Fall” produced for Drahcir Entertainment/Poorman Productions which released on December 29, 2020, stayed at the #1 spot for 3 weeks on the South Florida Reggae Charts. Her new single “Only A Fool” produced by Samuel Dyett of One Harmony Music is currently trending all over and was in the #2 spot on the South Florida Chart and for 3 weeks and #2 on The Foundation Network (NY) chart.  Lady Tia has ended the year 2021 with a bang. Her songs Riding For A Fall and Only A Fool made it to the Top 100 Charts for 2021. The South Florida Top 100 Songs of 2021 - “Riding For A Fall” held the #6 slot and “Only A Fool” held the #23 slot and she was featured as the #3 Top Female singer for 2021. The Foundation Network (NY) Top 100 Songs for 2021 - “Only A Fool” held the #64 slot.
